Blessings (pomaika’i) have been a part of life in all cultures throughout all of the known history of the human race.

Here in Hawaii we carry on this tradition recognizing the gifts we receive for our homes, businesses, land, boats, planes & other material possessions. It is a physical demonstration of spiritual creativity & a way of including family, friends, business associates & the elements to give power to our dreams and visions.

Perhaps the best way to explain it is to share firsthand experiences with you.

“I wanted a traditional Hawaiian blessing for my new home and I knew Reverend Pomaika’i was the perfect person to do it. I love the way spirit moves her to provide the perfect words and her knowledge of the Hawaiian language and customs is exquisite. She brought instruments for the guests to play while we had the processional around the perimeter of the property and ti leaves and alae salt to cleanse and bless the entire home. Once inside, at sunset, she asked each guest to say a few affirmative words about our relationship and that was a surprise, I was really touched. Reverend Pomaika’i was the first person to notice that the entrance to my home, starting at the property line, creates a spiral. I thought that was really cool.
